In 2010, The Body Shop® kicked of the year with a proactive and meaningful initiative in working closely with not just one NGO, but raise the bar by taking its commitment a step further by raising funds for various partners who are constantly fighting the battle to not only protect the planet but influencing change in mindsets to ensure a better place for women and children in the community as well.
Through sales of candles, tee-shirts, hand creams and recycled tote bags through the Kick The Bag Habit Campaign, amongst other social campaigns, The Body Shop® successfully raised a total of RM349,882.42 in just 2009. The donation was presented to the brand’s long-term NGO partners who are great advocates in the work they do. Recipients of this donation are Sisters in Islam, PS the Children and Womens Aid Organisation.
Members of the media and guests were also invited to witness this moment Bayan Indah, where The Body Shop® held afternoon tea and a pampering session for our favourite NGOs.
