Assoberg, an association of local organic farmers, supply The Body Shop with our Community Trade Organic Bergamot oil. They are based in Calabria, Italy and we have been trading with them since 1997. Our Organic Bergamot oil truly is revitalising. Not only does it perform wonders in our Bergamont products but it has even energised the rural community that produces it in Calabria, Italy. Faced with competition from synthetic alternatives, the local farmers came together to form an association to market their natural version, thereby preventing this traditional industry from dying out.
